When Miata.net (one of the largest on-line car communities in the world) needed a better way to build a targeted consumer database they turned to Surveylink Direct. A new special deals section was added to the site. Once a user entered the special deals section Surveylink Direct took over. The user answered a few brief questions about their car and why they were visiting the site. Immediately after completing the survey an e-mail message was sent containing special offers from sponsors with products that specifically related to the users need. In addition to the e-mail message users received other on-screen offers and Miata.net was able to generate future contact lists for sponsors interested in users with specific car product needs.
